Congrats to Road Less Traveled Productions on a very, very successful fundraiser Saturday night! And thank you to my friend Jen for bringing me in this loop to begin with. FANTASTIC group of talented people. Buffalo is a lucky place.

So how was the evening with Alec Baldwin? OUTSTANDING of course! The reading of Speed the Plow was so good. So good. Sooo good! I very much enjoyed the part played by Brian Mysliwy and thought he worked so well against Alec Baldwin, who was outstanding.

At the end of the reading, Alec came through for RLTP by well, being himself and announcing the upcoming 2009-2010 season on stage. Loved it.

AND FEAR NOT fellow BUFFALO FRIENDS you too can get your season tickets—look for more information in the GUSTO in the Buffalo News this Friday!

I walked in with my fabulous date Marina at 6:30 just feet behind Mr. Baldwin and Mr. Behrend. I shook hands with Scott and stood around the check in table in the company of greatness but felt entirely too awkward to interrupt, I mean he JUST WALKED IN THE ROOM. And everyone was looking…and well, I thought I was being respectful and knew I would have a chance later in the evening. Drinks. Laughter. Food. A GORGEOUS VENUE: Burchfield Penney I have to get myself there pronto! The night just kept ticking by…

A line formed down the center of the room where everyone was waiting to take their click click photo with Mr. Baldwin. I did not stand in this line. (In retrospect, stupid ass…but anyhow…) I was chatting and enjoying the evening. Mr. Baldwin did come toward the back of the room where we were at the end of the night to grab a few bites to eat. Of course people were still trying to come up to him and it was OBVIOUS that the poor man just wanted to eat. And then, he was whisked backstage.

And that was that.

Oh well, what’s a photo anyhow?

So because I allthingsjennifer treated Alec Baldwin with respect of a normal person instead of a celebrity, I will have to deal with photoshop instead.

The evening was fantastic and a HUGE success for RLTP. And that makes me happy.
