Last night I spent some long deserved quality time with the best friend Rachel and her brand new baby. Seriously…where does the time go? How is a wee baby 2 weeks old and wrinkles and just 13 weeks later the cutest little chubby legged bug in the entire world? And how do best friends not see each other for such a long period of time? Life is busy, but friendships are important too. So following with that theme…today for lunch? I met up with a few like minded League ladies at Betty’s…Chris, Audrey, Johnna (not a leaguer…but a like minded soul) and my sissy-in-law and Toddler A joined as well! Delicious food and a nice break from the routine of breaking for lunch. (You mean you can eat lunch away from the computer at your cubicle?) And this evening, since 14221 has been around this week, we quickly scheduled in a dinner meet up for sushi and martini’s on Elmwood.

Mark was the meat to round up the delicious Jen sandwich. Jen 14221 is one of my favorite people, and it is always a treat to meet up with her. If you haven’t met her in person yet, you are missing out.

Gee, what have I learned this week so far?

1. Work does not have to be all consuming!

2. Community commitments do not have to be my only social outlet!

Although I love both parts of my life so, sometimes it is just good to step away for a while, breathe in the spring air and renew the spirit with lazy time spent with others, for no purpose but to…to be. And the same goes for the blog…I could post and post and post, but I would rather curl up in bed with my very handsome spousal equivalent and read for the rest of the night. Ta ta!
