Oh my gosh. I think I might have reached a breaking point.

I *used* to be the person who LOVED waking up to the news. LOVED IT. Couldn’t WAIT TO hear the morning stories. But the last few weeks, I fear it’s not JUST the alarm clock that’s making me mad in the earlish morn. I think it’s the NEWS.

One minute, I’m taking it all in for a minute…

Ok. So. I think I hate the News. I HATE BEING JARRED FROM AN ALREADY RESTLESS SLEEP FROM THE NEWS.

Who am I? When did this change happen? I’ve been waking to the news for years and years. And now in the morning the mere sound of wordswordswords coming from that damn clock radio is enough to make me want to hide under my pillow and smack the shit out of the plastic box so it can just stop making noise. JUST STOP WITH THE CONSTANT CHATTER AND WORDS AND REPORTS AND WORDS. Noise.

This morning? I heard

WordwordswordsRussiawordsdefenseRicewordschatterPolandwordsmissileswordsGeorgia.

ChatchatttttchatterchatterBushchattertropicalstormchatchatwordKatrina.

WordswordswordswordsAfghanistanNATOFranceangrywar.

Ugh. No wonder why I wake up miserable, seriously.

I think I’m moving to Classical 94.5.

Whatcha talkin' bout Willis?
