I can’t even begin to express how happy I am that the work-ends are over for a while.  I left work Friday to go to work and got home sometime around 10pm dead on my feet. Woke up in time on Saturday to see the Race for the Cure go by on Elmwood.

Nothing makes you feel like a slug more than watching 1000’s of inspired runners on a hot summer morning. Including the youngsters and the parents with running strollers. Wow.

Stayed at work until the afternoon. Headed to Allen West festival and then to Gabriel’s Gate to meet up with friends for lunch and some World Cup.

I was inspired by my exhaustion and the summer sun to order as my drink of choice the Long Island Iced Tea. Mmmm. Old friend, it has been a while! And Ms. Erin made it to perfection, not too much gin. Tastes like summer tea!

Needless to say after a nap getting up to go back to work was hardly the first, second or third thing on my mind. Seeing my two favourite boys dressed up in the perfect Jen outfit made it a wee bit better. Having water at Prospero before heading home made it much better.

And getting home…knowing I didn’t have to do anything on Sunday but unpack my apartment made everything much, much, MUCH better.
