The other day while browsing through Google Reader I stumbled upon the fact that it was singles week. I mentioned something about doing a single women blog crawl on All Things Jennifer

And as I watched the days go by Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday…I went through the list of AWESOME women bloggers I read everyday and I realized I couldn’t even categorize them as single or married.

And then it hit me…

WHO CARES IF THEY ARE SINGLE OR NOT?

No really…WHO CARES? Apparently not me.

I guess I don’t read any particular blog because of the relationship status of the writer. Why does it matter? Single. Not single. Happy is what matters, right?

Being unhappy and single is the same as being unhappy in a relationship. The common factor in both situations?

YOU. UNHAPPY.

YOU. HAPPY.

Why does it matter—YOU are YOU no matter what, right?

I’m glad I blog as ALL THINGS. Over the past seven years I have blogged while in a relationship and not in a relationship. I’ve blogged the entire time from beginning and end of a relationship. And now I blog once again not in a relationship. Sometimes I’m happy. Sometimes I’m sad. But I hope never to be defined by my relationship status in the blogging world.
