“But the radio dial, made my heart stop a while, our 80’s songs now are called… ”

Wow. I’m old. Oldies? Oldies music? Ram-a-lama-ding-dong?

My coworker friend Denise came in the office earlier this week and told me that she heard on the radio that 80’s music was now considered to be OLDIES CLASSIC ROCK. And then she laughed. While I, I gasped with horror. The horror! I tried to find the story on the internet but was unable to find a link, therefore I ignored the news and pretended it’s wasn’t so.

Until now…

Alas, I found confirmation here…on Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me. At the Listener Limerick Challenge. I also am lucky enough to get the double sucker punch where the nice host Peter Sagal mentions…”So if you’re over 35, and this being public radio we assume you all are…” (The link is worth listening to, they discuss the fiber content of Holland Oates.)

Oy vey. I’m a YOUNG almost 35 something person, really. I’m just hip to be square.

I’m afraid I’m just too darn…

Loud. OLD.

Whatcha talkin' bout Willis?
