BLOGGERCON IV was a meat-lovin’ grillin success! And while Val and Kevin, LC Scotty and the Mrs. and Mark and I wore down the evening…these people were already blogging about the event!

Kelly starts the tone out right with the title alone: Fun with Fruit and Mayonnaise! And don’t forget to check out his review of our Buffalo News article. “What’s a blog?”

Alan, who is not yet running for public office but brought out the wife and the children this time… wraps it up neatly over here.

The Punaro’s: Derek and Amanda trumped all the oldschool bloggers by wearing matching Punaro.com blogger TEE SHIRTS with their names. How cool is that? I feel a challenge coming on (Cafe Press thongs anyone?) Amanda’s review is up at the blog here…

Chris did his write up last night too! Chris is found many places in cyberland but reviewed BloggerCon IV over at In Da Buff-Naked Words from the Naked City. Anytime you can write the word naked in the same title twice, you simply MUST take advantage

Buffalo Geek talked about: A Great Buffalo Day over at his blog. What is this great day you are talking about?

Val (the photographer half of BuffaloRoots.com) wrote up her review of the fruit salad incident over here. My friend Val even made me tear up a bit…see her blog and my comments for details  Husband Kevin wrote a post as well, which makes sense since they are a Wife and Husband blogging TEAM yet, still individuals. Imagine that?

The now famous Michele Johnson, blogging on Broadway Fillmore Alive wrote up her thoughts, Lotsa Fun and Food in the Woods!I most definitely did not get nearly enough time, outside of introductions with this amazing woman and her friends and family. Always a next time, this I am sure of.

The BRISKETman, Scott, wrote about the aftermath of BloggerCon IV here. Oh yeah, he included recipes. Mmmmm. Meat.

And a little birdie from the Buffalo News might have written an article about our little gathering here…Thanks Steve! next time, Adult lemonade for you!

And then there’s Mr. Red. My first time meeting this relatively *new* Buffalo Blogger and most certainly not my last. Quote from Red. (Who is unlike Red from That 70’s Show as Kelly pointed out…)

“It occurred to me sometime this afternoon as I was chatting along with some of the gang that meeting new folks was something I never anticipated when I started this blog.  These new friends are certainly an added bonus, and I look forward to seeing them again and meeting even more new folks.”

Once upon a time, when I was not yet a blogger my friend Erin sent me to Blogger.com. I in turn, sent a few friends and family and coworkers over to the site as well. And a little ring of people that I MET/KNOW IN REAL LIFE was formed.

A long, long time ago, I remember trying to Google other Buffalo Bloggers like myself, just to see who else is out there, alone, in their basements and wearing only underwear. At the time I came up with a few great bloggers like Alan (who was not yet Buffalo Pundit) and Kelly and Craig and since then the list just kept growing and growing and growing.

I met Jen 14221 shortly after finding out she is a sorority sister. David dragged my depressed ass out of the house last Spring for a game of Scrabble at Cafe Aroma. And then a bunch of us met up at the Anchor Bar for BloggerCon I and suddenly everything made sense .

And even better? A fellow blogger (now friend) LC Scotty emailed me to volunteer to be my witness for Trial Technique class last Fall. Someone I had NEVER MET IN PERSON, but felt like I knew all my life. (This goes for his wife as well, LOVE HER!) In all seriousness, I have met amazing people along the way…from bloggers to blogfriends to the best category of all just plain ol’ friends.

I’ve been at all of our little get togethers (which is helpful when you’re the one planning them!) and I really try to make sure that for every event, we attract a new group of bloggers and readers (readers make up just as much of the blogging community that the writers do…) Bars, baseball games, picnics…what should we do next?

When a reader/commenter Tracy came up to me at my place of employment and outed herself, I was thrilled! Another new friend. And today another reader/commenter at the SpeakUpWNY picnic dropped by to say hello and introduce herself. How cool is that? People reading *All Things* Whod’a thunk so many people would care about my derelict landlord situation? Huge smile coming from the other side of this screen…Thank you.
