Phil Collins Concert! THANK YOU 1000 times thank you to Phil’s biggest fan, my Aunt Carroll for the amazing opportunity to bond! Oh…Phil! We love you so…I never, ever imagined I would see him in concert. I felt like I was in a hazy dream cloud inside my radio at the age of 14 again.

My Aunt Carroll is one of my bestest people in life. She was my playmate growing up before I even know what a playmate was…I looked up to her, admired her…wanted to be just like her. And I still do…she holds our crazy family together in the most important ways, and yet is still under-appreciated at times. (She puts the FUN into DysFUNctional family!) Seeing Phil wouldn’t even make sense if I didn’t see it with her…and she made that possible…for me and my roomie.

And I do love her so…

And Phil does too, I just know it!

So the concert…the Phil Collins Final? Farewell Tour….soooooo much fun. Giddy as a silly school girl. Each song that he played brought a giant grin!!!

Fantastically cheezy stage dancers and light and screenshow…colors everywhere, EXCEPT on Mr. Collins who kept his sexy persona in all black. There is something about a performer, who doesn’t need to perform, juggle, do splits in the air…his voice alone was enough. Triumphantly walking across the stage, posing, allowing others to shine in the spotlight. Perfection! I loved every second…until the end…when *Take Me Home* came along I knew…he had to go home.

What not to say?

Talented Phil. Sounds just like he does on the radio . Except even BETTER while beating the drums…holy God…drums, drums and more drums! Horns, horns and more horns! (And one particular bald headed trombone player that made me a bit horn—as well.) Hot hot hot! Phil had some of his backup singers share lead on a few songs and holy shit. This one man…his voice sent shivers down the entire HSBC arena as soon as he began to sing *Separate Lives* AMAZING.

BREATHTAKING. Utterly powerful voice, soulful moving…Definitely upstaged Phil. But Phil didn’t mind…damn.

So many songs…so little time.

Mmmmm…

And then there was *In The Air Tonight*

Sex…ooozing sex. I need…nevermind.

Long build up with lights and lasers and black and white still screen footage playing on the screens….And then he emerges. Don’t fuck with Phil when he is singing this song…ominous Phil…you know what is coming…beware of the power within. The song cut me like a knife. Phil took slow, calculated steps building, singing, stepping closer and closer until he reached the top of the stage, to the climax…his (powpowpow pow pow. pow.) DRUMS….release at last. Powerful drumming…I loved, loved the drums. Holy shit. That song alone was worth $100 to see…

Yeah, I need a break…reliving this song is making me tingle.
