My friend Mary and I took this class together in college. At the time, it was a total joke. Perhaps it was our professor (who left such an indelible mark on my soul that I can not even remember her name…) Perhaps it was the 8:00 a.m. timeslot during my *most social* year. Whatever the reason, I didn’t think much of it at the time.. I can recognize the names in this article but that is about all. Sad, sad but true.

Karl Marx takes lead in BBC poll of philosophers

10 years later I am trying to catch up where I never really started. Not even classes in Political Philosophy! Well, other than the basic introduction… And some of reading on my own. (Plato, Locke, Mill, Paine, Tocqueville and some of the Federalist Papers) The one advanced class I did take was Marxism. And read this book. And I remember very much enjoying the class. And NOT just because I was surrounded by men at the time.  Although that made it even better!

Where should I start now? Any direction?
