It started out simple. I was making dinner. Pasta. Nothing fancy, just some sauteed mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, onions, scallions in a pan and adding some tomato sauce and cheese and baking in the oven for 30 minutes.

Except there was a problem. I only had ONE jar of tomato sauce left.

One?

How could that be?

I know I bought a bunch and stocked up a while back…so I started moving around the jars in the pantry on a quest for more tomato sauce.

Which ended up with me moving around and organizing the pantry for about two hours. I reorganized all the shelves and grouped all the items together properly (once again.)

I opened up lots of bags of dried beans, peas, pastas, baking goods, snacks and refilled jar upon jar…I filled up the spice rack! I took inventory of what we had and what I needed to stock up on ASAP (you know, in case of Zombies.)

HWMMS was NOT home at the time. Thank goodness. I know my bouts of crazy MUSTORGANIZEALLTHETHINGSRIGHTNOW drives his OCD a little batty. Because stuff ends up everywhere, haphazardly, before it finds it’s proper place once again.

Our large kitchen pantry is one of my favorite parts of Weber Wonderland. Being able to put all the things in pretty mason and glass jars for me to peek inside through the screen door makes me very, very happy.

One small note, don’t be too jealous…notice I did NOT take a photo of the side shelves and the bottom shelves. Let’s just say they need a little bit of work…that will never quite end up to my liking.

And now, it’s time to go shopping.
