Ahhh. The fond memories of Fredonia.

Tonight I am heading home. Home for the Holidays. Home to see the ones I love and spend too much money on wine and beer. I love my friends dearly.

Growing up, having a birthday that was in between Christmas and New Years sucked. I had to bring in Cherry Chip Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes AFTER the school vacation. I got birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper, or even better Christmas-Birthday gifts. My mom and dad planned well having both of their children in December. If Lil Brother was not a few days before Christmas, and he got separate Birthday gifts, I would have been jealous. But we were handed the same fate.

After going away to college, I realized how much I cherished my birthday landing between the big week of festivus. I got to see all of my homies and usually this involved a celebration of my big day (free drinks!!!) I have a very close group of High School Friends- Linda, Joanne, Carrie, Rhonda, Shawn and Johnny. We used to get together every year, but with new commitments, husbands-careers-houses and families far away, it is difficult.

This year Linda Lu called and wanted to get everyone together this weekend. Big R is in North Carolina, Johnny is in Oregon but the rest of us are around…the difference is, Linda no longer lives in town. We have nowhere to crash. Carrie has a baby and a husband. Joey, comes into town here and there from Virginia. And Shawn needs to work his schedule around the Navy and his daughter. We are growing up. (30th birthday around the corner for us all, me first…then Joey a week later) Tis the year. So how shall we celebrate? In style of course…at the WHITE INN! : ) The historic White Inn located in pictureque Barker Commons in Fredonia, NY. (Right next to the 27 watering holes!)

Ah the White Inn. I do recall, one of us, NOT ME THIS TIME…has a story about hooking up at the WHITE INN during the New Years Eve Eve Festivities. Others of us have some sneaky puke stories to share from BJ’s…young and foolish but always fun. We are hoping to relive some of the old days tonight. Watch out Fredonia. Here comes the Class of 92. The White Inn…he he he. Someone remind me that I am not single this year, please…(Kidding darling. Clap. Clap. I am kidding!) However, it has been a long time…and if lust objects Dan or Simon are around this year…hmmmmm. Free drinks for the 30th but no (passionate?) kisses allowed. And anyone who is around at Midnight on New Years, Erin??? ; ) Just the girls on the town tonight. No, not on SHAWN, on the TOWN of Fredonia, although I somehow doubt Shawn would mind…ahem.

Wish me luck! I am out to live life and live it LOUD, only a few more hours to celebrate my 20’s!!!!
