Sudden Interest in Jackie Kennedy? I really have no idea why, but in the last week I’ve found a sudden interest in the life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Mindlessly flipping through the channels I stumbled upon the miniseries on the Kennedys staring Katie Holmes. Truthfully I have no real interest in watching, but my eyes didn’t turn away. I became captivated by her performance. A few minutes later I clicked on the record button for the DVR to make sure I had the next few episodes saved, just in case. And then I did something else, you know—–squirrel!

Again, yesterday after coming home fromĀ  a very early hour and quite a bit of time visiting mom I flipped on the TV, apparently this is my new mindless decompression activity. And I started watching—and I didn’t stop. And then I watched After Camelot and started reading ALL THE THINGS ON JACKIE KENNEDY ONASSIS on Google and and and.

Why? Where did this come from?

I have found a few tiny reasons why maybe I should consider reading more about her life.

1. Her preservation activism for Grand Central Station. (Buffalo Central Terminal, timely?)

2. Editing.Literary Career

3. Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. (Same cancer my dad had.)

Not to mention I’ve always been a fan of her impeccable style and grace.

I guess that’s another book subject to add to the to-read list.
