Another one of those fun filled free Buffalo events that I never had the chance to attend…the Cinema Sotto Le Stelle.

“Aw, ma, I love him awful.”

Mark and I walked over to the movie and found ourselves waaaaaay in the back row (sidewalk) which was good and bad. Good because the last row had a *task* to complete, audience participation with this line, I have to admit it was pretty funny.

“I lost my hand! I lost my bride! Johnny has his hand! Johnny has his bride!”

Nicholas Cage with a wooden hand? No problem, bring it on baby! Get in MY bed!

And then there was the impromptu back row “howling with the dogs”…but I think that was brought on more by the beers. 😉

What a fantastic movie! I had no idea…I do need to see it again someday when the happening outside jammin band at Merlin’s is not playing full speed ahead, because I am certain I missed a few key quotes…but the music eventually died down and the sound of the movie eventually turned up and all were happy.

“Loretta, I love you. Not like they told you love is, and I didn’t know this either, but love don’t make things nice – it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess. We aren’t here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us. Not us! We are here to ruin ourselves and to break our hearts and love the wrong people and *die*. The storybooks are *bullshit*. Now I want you to come upstairs with me and *get* in my bed!”

And the next day for breakfast, I found myself making eggs in toast. And sitting on the lovely front porch with my amore…
