The sometime hazards of online sale shopping

Most of the time, as in 90% of the time, I LOVE the convenience of online shopping. I get incredible sales and very rarely have to return anything. Of course because my mood is miserable this week I had not an online shopping experience that happens to fall into the 10% of not happy. Of course.

Burner Covers


A totally frivolous purchase in the end, but something I thought would be a really nice addition to my WEE kitchen since I have little no counter space whatsoever.  I found these adorable covers and knew I had to make them mine (after I found a 25% off one item coupon to go with them.)

For $20 I get pretty space usage out of my wee stove. Win-win right?

Right. Until said burner covers are actually TOO BIG for the wee stove.


(This is where I add my favorite…BAH!)

Sigh…shipping was $6. If I return the burner covers it will cost ME $6 to send back. AND I will only get the cost of the actual item minus shipping of $14 credited back to me. After my return cost I’m getting $8 back from my original $20 spent. Which is HARDLY worth it in the end.

So what’s a cheap girl to do? Put one of the burner covers on the stove and the other on top of the toaster oven.
