I’m going to ignore the fact that it is 11 pm and I haven’t lifted a FINGER and have 2 hours of housework and an hour of shopping AND I AM PICKING UP MARY AT THE AIRPORT AT 10 am tomorrow. Because that would freak me out. (I meant to clean last night, I really really did!)

Anyhow, I got out of work a little late because the day before an event is always VERY BUSY (this Saturday) But I won’t be attending, I’ll be at Erin’s wedding.

Right after work I went to look for a dress. Because as I mentioned you ALWAYS find a dress the very last day when you must, right?

WAIT! Backtrack! I forgot to report that on my lunch, I went to the Aveda salon. Oh. My. God. It’s been a long, long time since I’ve visited Papillion. I wanted a new look, not just a trim. And the lovely new hairdresser at the salon, named Jennifer Lynn did a FABULOUS JOB! And even talked me into the long bang.

Love it love it love it! Sass and bounce. Much healthier. And lucky for me, two out of three products used were not available for purchase. So I got away with only one bottle of some serum gel that should last for a year. I LOVE AVEDA PRODUCTS! But I forgot how much $ a treat like this costs. I’m worth it? (I returned the air conditioner this morning, that was my rationale.)

Now back to the dress…

Wheeeee!!! SERENDIPITY! I walked into TJMAXX, first store on the Boulevard and walla! The dress! The only one of it’s kind! And my size! (Although I like to admit that it is just in a size, not my size, because the size is HUGE.) Anyhow. Pretty pretty pretty dress! With TULLE!!!! And BROWN (with a wee bit of green) and I’m so happy! And $30. Unlike all those dresses I’ve been posting for months. Although my co-worker friends will laugh when they read…it’s a HALTER dress! I was totally against such a concept, have you seen my cleavage? These girls need support!

Next step? Finding a shrug, the DD’s need a bra and NO ONE needs to see me in a backless halter dress. Ever. And Mark must be drunk and it must be dark. So…I went to Macy’s and JCPenney’s and found a few shirts and a tie and was at the checkout (with 30 minutes left before picking up Mark) and THERE IT WAS. Could it be? A rose colored short sleeved sweater? COULD IT BE? AND IT MATCHES? AND ON SALE?I have a stunning brown lacy/sparkly wrap that would match, but I know me…the wrap will come off and NO ONE NEEDS TO SEE THAT! So I was super excited to find this sweater just waiting for me.

On the way home from this WILDLY SUCCESSFUL SHOPPING EXCURSION (I did find other dresses at Macy’s but they started at $60) the song “Eye of the Tiger” came on. I cranked the sound, rolled down the windows (no air conditioning in the truck) and pumped my fists along to the chorus. Soooo happy!!!!!

When I got home? I had a call from my co-worker friend Marina who told me that her hubby just brought home the PUPPY DOG THEY WANTED (but said they were going to wait on. Yeah right it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! And her hubby totally surprised her!!! HAPPY HAPPY!

And then an email from a friend had me SCREAMING OUT LOUD in disbelief—can you say classmate from college INDICTED? Wow.

The laundry ain’t putting itself away. The bathtub ain’t cleaning itself. The Murphy’s Oil Soap ain’t jumping off the shelves of a store yet to be purchased at to clean my hardwood floors. And the groceries are surely not buying themselves. Where am I going to find time?

Do I stay or do I go? Head to Wegman’s at Midnight and clean in the early morn? Or start to put away the 10 loads of laundry and wake up at the ass crack of dawn to shop and get everything else done by 9 am?

Yikes! Damn wine punch yesterday…I was supposed to be CLEANING while drinking last night! Oops!
