Alas. The mix between winter and spring…

Oh how I wish it were spring.
My answering machine yesterday sang…
“Well it’s St. Patrick’s week in Buffalo, there might be rain there might be snow…”
(sung to the tune of Corner Bar by Jackdaw)

However, my spirits did not make it as high as I wanted them to be. Cold. Rainy. Mediocre parade. Plus our spot on the route was surrounded by dumb drunks, who preferred throwing beer cans and coins at the passersby, along with some profanity for the police who kept pushing the group back to the sidewalk. Alas. I could not get in the proper spirit. I was cold. COLD and wet and unhappy. Blah.

HOWEVER. JACKDAW at the Sphere! Whew! Blew me away. Love those boys. Love them. A great performance…Yes, Erin made it on stage at the end, and yes I have photos. Give me sometime…

There also seemed to be a problem with the bartendresses forgetting to put on clothes. Much to the dismay of the moral police, the size 2 women wore, no joke, black Jackdaw underwear, fishnet stockings and tiny tank tops. And did I mention it was COLD? Hmmmmm. Classy, real classy.

I’m currently at a lost for time. Wondering where the weekend went…Friday night was a trip home to see the Jamestown band, One Leg Emma, oh, I mean Big Leg Emma. Fun times had by all at the Conservation Club located on One Mullet Street. Rusted Root feeling crowd. I could have had a contact high…or perhaps it was the auntie tequila shots, but either way…wow. A great time…props to Erin for listening to my incoherent mumblings the entire car ride back to Buffalo! A friend indeed.

Today, I have decided to continue to wear the green. I have bright, ghastly looking green nail polish on the fingertips…a green blouse and I decided for the first time to wear a matching green scarf tied around my neck. Go figure. A sassy look I am not sure I can fully pull off….but it is fun.

I have tried, with little success to begin my schoolwork of Spring Break…I need to stay in for a day or two or seven…too much celebrating has this Jen hurting. Even my feet were green after dancing and trolloping the streets of Buffalo all day! Ouch!

It is always entertaining for me to see the pieces of green remnants thrown about the city after the parade. A touch of green boa on the sidewalk, random shamrock confettis…I should take photos and make a montage…someday. Even better was the time after my sister-in-laws bachelorette where we decided to *lei* Buffalo….leis all over the street the next day. Tee hee…

I know there are a 1000 other things I could do or say, but I am at a loss for more words. Seriously. My mind is blurry. I am going now, in a hurry!

Enjoy the week…
I’m counting the days to D.C…
