Despite the fact I grew up on a farm and had acres and acres and acres of fruits and veggies surrounding me, this is the first time in my adult life that I’ve had a garden. And despite the fact that I love to cook, this is the first time I’ve ever attempted to make fresh from the garden tomato sauce without using canned paste or canned chopped tomatoes.
The house smells heavenly!
This is my first batch of *rustic* tomato sauce. By rustic I mean “screw this I have to get rid of all the seeds too?”
And this is my first batch of slow roasted tomatoes. I’ll let you know how they turn out in 8 hours or so…
