We finally picked a date and then I neglect All Things Jennifer?

Oops.

Um, yeah.

My bestie Mary came into town for a long weekend back in November and helped me to get focused on the details. Apparently the details were sorted out in my head and in He Who Makes Me Smile’s head and our collective head still needed to be a little more organized.

Basically it all boils down to this…Weber Wedding Weekend: Eat, Drink and Be Married. Really the most important thing to the two of us is celebrating with as many people we love for the longest time possible. While we both knew this to be an absolute certainty, once I started talking about it out loud to others it started to make nervous.

Oh, how I already disliked the questions…

A holiday weekend?

How many people?

Outside?

You know how much that costs?

How many bridesmaids?

What do you mean you aren’t walking down the aisle?

You have to have a shower!

People want to see you recite vows!

AAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I admit,  for a minute or three, I felt stressed. And this was around just a few people I love! What happens when I start telling everyone about our plans?!? We know what we want…why is this suddenly a stressful situation? Retreat! Retreat!

Well what happens is, I take a deep breath, and some weeks off from blogging and I tell everyone…

He Who Makes Me Smile and I have decided to have Weber Wedding Weekend over Memorial Day 2012 and we hope to celebrate with as many people we love for the longest time possible.

Call it the Weber Wedding Weekend Mission Statement.

So yes, we are having a huge party. With lots of people and lots of bridesmaids ladies in red.

Yes, we know how much it costs and how much work it is going to be. (I did event planning professionally for a while!)

We look forward to spending lots of time friends and family over the next few months and thank everyone in advance for helping out with our big weekend.

We also know that not everyone will be able to attend, which makes us sad but it’s a statistical impossibility that everyone we want to invite is available the same day. (Actually, this part makes me very sad. We’ve already heard from a few people that this weekend doesn’t work out and I didn’t prepare myself for this disappointment.)

Thank you to all who have listened and given advice.

Let the games begin!
