CampNaNoWriMo: Final Countdown!

Screw you CampNaNoWriMo word limit. I’m going to get you or get as close as I possibly can before midnight.

I wasn’t thinking I would stay up writing tonight chasing down my CampNaNoWriMo finishing goal. I was something like 3,000 words behind and would finish on May 2nd according to the website that I updated every chance I got with a new number of words written in April.

Good words or bad words. I don’t care. I did 50,000 of them this month. And that is something I haven’t accomplished in a few years.

Funny how a few hours ago I was beating myself up for being a loser and wanting to go to bed without even trying to finish my goal which was totally attainable, and now here I am watching the clock and wondering if I will just make it under the wire.

It’s not like a measly extra hundred words or two hundred (but who’s counting) means anything really, but knowing that I set out to finish another goal that I WROTE DOWN and actually DID IT for once, means something to me. It means something that instead of being whiny tomorrow saying I finished, but in the morning. Did it tonight instead.

50,084. Done.
