Weber Christmas Tree 2011

It started as a pole.

Then we realized we needed more lights.

Our tree sat for a week with only lights. And presents. He Who Makes Me Smile told me that we wouldn’t be able to put presents under the tree because Henri will rip them apart. I decided he wouldn’t rip them if I wrapped each gift and then put a bunch for the same person in one large box which I wrapped and put under the tree. He disagreed, but I did it anyway.

Dani Cat loves the Christmas Tree.

A few days later, He Who Makes Me Smile proved me wrong. Bad Henri.

Guilty as charged. No presents under the tree for us.

FINALLY we put ornaments on the tree this weekend. It felt a little daunting combining my stuff, his stuff and boxes and boxes of his mama’s stuff. But we did it. One would think with all these decorations we would have a proper tree topper (whatever that is…) but we didn’t. So this year? We anointed Floyd to the top of the tree.

Hello Floyd.

He Who Makes Me Smile put his traditional “German good luck fork” on the tree next to the kissing penguin ornament I bought for him last year when we first started dating.

Haphazard lights abound on Weber Christmas Tree 2011! And the rest of the house still needs attention…
