One day, a Mad King, in front of every camera he could find with a giant Sharpie in hand – DECLARED SOMETHING (almost certainly illegal or unconstitutional) and just like that – it was so. Lather, rinse, repeat. Democracy fragile as a fucking feather. Rule of law? Facts? Eviscerated. Poof!
Right now, in this moment, I’m pretty certain I won’t be around to see what happens in “America 2.0” if it ever debuts. Maybe a new country will emerge after all the capitulating to the most ignorant, idiotic regime in history, but not in my lifetime.
Our leaders are seemingly not up to the task.
