ADD or Multi-tasking?

After I woke up around 12 and made myself a grilled cheese I became ADD multi tasking Jen. The one who starts 100 projects and finishes, 2. I went to make coffee. I saw one of the frozen apple pies from apple pie party. I put the apple pie in the oven. I opened the refrigerator and I found my old, brown bananas. I decide to make homemade banana bread. But I want THAT recipe, the one from Cooking Light a year ago with the picture on the cover…the one I never ripped out. Where is that old magazine? I open the closet. Oops. Now I am cleaning out the closet. I have to put Christmas away and reorganize. I go through all the boxes and retape. I have 5 Christmas boxes, one Fall-Halloween box, one Easter-Spring box…and a bag of St Pattys Day. Oh and I have another box I call “Winter Penguin” but they are still displayed. No Valentines Day anything. Go figure. It has never been my favorite day. One year, out of six the “X” actually decided to do something. I got a Teddy Bear and balloons. One year out of the last 30. No wonder why my decor is void of red and pink hearts!!!!

I also wentthrough my clothes, memory, and law school notebook boxes. Ok, went through, means put into the other room. BOXES EVERYWHERE! But now I found the magazines. SO I am clipping recipes in the middle of a room full of boxes. Oh, now I found the banana bread issue. I made Coconut Lime Banana Bread,and I find out that I do NOT have a loaf pan. I do have, a brownie pan, a pie pan, a cupcake pan, a mini muffin pan, and a 6 Pack of Flower Pot Mega Muffin Makers. But no loaf pan. Batter in fridge. Loaf pan on list of things to buy…soon.

Now Erin calls. She has to go to her college, which is by me. I invite her over for pie. (Apple Crisp really…) We eat pie. And I drag her out into the winter to go to the credit union. Then to Kauffmans, because they have buy one get one coat free sale. PLUS it is sales tax free week (8.25%!) AND they have 20% off coupons. Of course they have NO COATS. But I did find a short suede pair of tan boots for $14.75!!!! Off to dinner, then to UB to check mail on the computers, BUT WAIT! I need a loaf pan! Erin and I stuck to the “list” of things we “need” Mine included loaf pan, vaporizer and cheap blender. NOT ON THE LIST but absolutely necessary for 3 reasons…was a page of penguin valentine window clings. 1. Cheap less than $2. 2. Trying to shed jaded Jen V-day image this year (no particular reason: ) 3. PENGUINS! Now we are at UB. And as I tried to put the endless pages of blog from my old computer at home on to the system, I realize the disk from Word 95 can not be formatted. GRRRR! So, I give up and we head out to Record Theather. No purchase. Although the Dirty Dancing Remastered CD was tempting…it has every song from soundtrack one and two in MOVIE ORDER! Too cool…maybe BMG has it. Ok, fun is over, as we were going home we ended up stopping at SPoT coffee to satisfy my friend’s urging for chocolate…Then I came home. Home to many boxes, and unmade banana bread. Life is good.
