I’ve made so many connections, friends, and real-life friendships on Twitter. Twitter doomscrolling has been everything I needed and probably didn’t really need for the last 6 plus years. I don’t know what I would have done without my community of resisters. And then all the people I followed through this pandemic – and learning about my chronic illness, disability possible long covid. All the writers and authors. All the journalists and news pages. All the friends in WNY and beyond.
What if the real @Twitter was all the friends we made along the way

Twitter has been an integral part of my world and I will miss it when it implodes. Let’s be honest, it is so going to implode.
I wasn’t going to head to another site, but I really would miss following lots of people who have already set up accounts, so, I did too. Not using it yet, going down with the ultimate fail whale – but find me on Mastodon here –@allthingsjennifer@mstdn.party

It makes me sad, the place that started our friendship being no more. To think that our worlds may never have crossed. That is the beauty I take away from Social Media.
