Cause I have *a lot* of rye flour and yeast to use up and it feels like MarchAprilMay2020 all over again…
Plus it’s frigid out…oven warms the house or at least the kitchen.
Rye bread isn’t my thing…but…HWMMS is a fan.
This recipe from King Arthur included dill pickle juice and instant mashed potatoes! And I tripled the amount of seasonings, dark and light caraway,
The texture is PERFECT maybe it’s the mashed potatoes? I will have to experiment with that ingredient for future loaves. And despite the heavy handed (as always ) use of spices and seeds the flavor is somewhat mild – although there is the tang of the pickle juice.
I call this one a WIN.
