Sometimes life hands you the appropriate response in an accidental photo. I wanted to take a quick snap of the brindles handing out on their fluffy rugs surrounded by the YES THEY ARE STILL UP I NEED JOY DAMMIT holiday lights — and ended up with a streak of blur.

Which happens to be exactly how I feel about the last week – one big blur taking away my joy.

Profound, nyah.

I JUST WANT TO GIVE EVERYONE A GINORMOUS COLLECTIVE HUG AND BREAKDOWN AND CRY IT ALL OUT TOGETHER AND THEN MAGICALLY THINGS ARE BETTER IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

Ok, how about an adorable penguin moment instead?

In this case, I declare that the random penguin content wins over anything profound I may or may not have to say. Sometimes, believe it or not (and I know it’s hard to believe…) I just don’t have words.

BUT MY FRIEND BRIGID HAS WORDS. Good words. Words worth reading. – The Empathy Virus

“I feel that over the coming years, I will be getting angry quite a bit. I’ll be climbing atop of my soapbox and screaming, then stepping down and crawling into my bed to cry tears of frustration and sorrow. ”

Go read. Find joy. Embrace the blur.
