Yep. That would be me. Up close. Chugging from my gallon jug of water. I try for a gallon a day – but the last week – nope. I’ve fallen out of routine – dark, depressed days. But today, I try again. MUST TAKE CARE OF SELF TO TAKE CARE OF OTHERS. Now, go drink some water.
Aside – I LOVE the synchronicity moments when I’m TYPING the word water – at the exact same time the audiobook I’m listening to says the word…water.
Drink water. Get rest. Get outside. Hold on to one another. Keep going.

Never underestimate the impact of a random email, sent or received. I’ve been having so many great conversations this way. Knowing that other people I care about are feeling the same kinds of things I’m feeling — and asking the same kinds of questions I’m asking — means everything right now. 👩🏻💻

I try everyday to connect – I need to do better of course. This week (since last Thursday – ) has been a dark one. I have not been myself, fallen out of routine.
NEVER underestimate the power of a quick hello. A quick how are you doing? A quick thank you for sharing. It really made a difference this week in my world.
Now – on to some good stuff for you to read and share with others.
- Let’s Learn and Live Lessons in Collective Survival Together -“If you have a public-facing meeting and there’s new people coming, have someone whose role is to sit next to the new people and explain to them what’s going on and help them find…we don’t need gatekeepers, we need ushers. We need people to help find how they are useful.”
- Some Actions That Are Not Protesting or Voting– *I created [with input from other organizers] an interactive workbook for new activists who want to create their own organizing plans. You can download it for free here. I hope it helps those who need some guidance to focus on specific things you can do in your communities.”
- Indivisible Rural Caucus 2025 Kick-Off Call – “When we say we believe in organizing everywhere, we mean it. That’s why we have one of the largest rural footprints of any national grassroots network. Join our Rural Caucus kickoff call to learn how you can take the fight against Trump, Musk, and MAGA to your own backyard.”
- FeedMore WNY & Feeding NYS are working to set 2025 budget priorities to combat food insecurity across the state. We need your support to urge Governor Hochul and NYS legislators to Fully Fund Hunger Relief. Add your signature to the petition: p2a.co/STrxYtd
- There are many ways Trump could trigger a global collapse. Here’s how to survive if that happens – “Start with this principle: don’t face your fears alone. Make friends, meet your neighbours, set up support networks, help those who are struggling. Since the dawn of humankind, those with robust social networks have been more resilient than those without.”
- What the US can learn from South Koreans who stopped an authoritarian power-grab – South Koreans reversed a martial law decree in just six hours, showing how ordinary citizens and politicians can take fast action to uphold democracy.
- FREE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD of ‘Fight Fascism’ Zine– “Zines are powerful ways to quickly distribute information that’s tiny to transport & simple to print.”
- Kill the Cop in Your Pocket – “Direct communication between autonomous individuals is the basis of any shared rebellion, it is the starting point of shared dreams and common struggles. Without unmediated communication, a struggle against this world and for freedom is impossible.”
