And it’s only been how many hours since Scorched America Day?
Today’s stock market crash was the worst since the Spring of 2020.
Can you guess who was president during *both* crashes? I bet you can!

When Fox News is telling people not to panic, it means the end times are here.

- Trump’s new tariff math looks a lot like ChatGPT’s– “ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and Claude all recommend the same “nonsense” tariff calculation.”
- The Senate Just Passed Rand Paul’s Bill To Block Trump’s Tariffs on Canada– “—but it also represents a small glimmer of hope, as it is the the first serious attempt by Congress at limiting the president’s ability to smash free trade. Paul was joined by three other Republicans—former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R–Ky.), as well as Sens. Susan Collins (R–Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (R–Alaska)—and nearly all Democrats in voting to end the economic emergency.”
WHO WILL THINK ABOUT THE PENGUINS? (I love that I had several people send me this information.)
The Heard & McDonald penguins just heard about Trump’s tariffs.
Now they’re marching—angry, overdressed, and ready to flip some trade deals.
Buckle up soldiers! 😄

As soon as HWMMS was gainfully employed again a few months ago, I started restocking. We have always been those people — we have the resources and the space to make it happen. Prepper mentality for sure. Between HWMMS’s line of thinking and my upbringing and homesteading — yeah, these are not new concepts for us. We were well prepared for the pandemic too — started in January 2020 when it was obvious something was happening.
It’s not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.
Even if it’s made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

- Americans Rush to Buy TVs, Soy Sauce, Lululemon Workout Gear – Ah, the world of the WSJ – I’m thinking um, canning supplies, medicines – not quite a $150 sweater. Sigh. – “The only thing you really have is your resiliency if the absolute worst happens,” she said, “Get good sleep, take care of yourself so you can withstand economic hardship. Don’t go into debt to stock up.”
- Food & ag groups blast ‘destabilizing’ tariffs, seek exemptions: ‘We urge the White House to reconsider’ – Urge. Um. Yeah, urge away. There’s a reason I’ve been canning pineapple, oranges — “The imposition of tariffs increases costs, disrupts supply chains, and ultimately drives up grocery prices..Fresh produce trade is uniquely complex, shaped by seasonal and regional factors that make a well-functioning market essential for year-round availability.
Time for another hahaha moment because – OMG.
Same. Plus on top of all this they won’t stop making Marvel movies
