Long week…This past week was a difficult one for the place I work. Hard economic times mean lay-offs and several of my friends were caught in this crossfire. For an amazing organization already running on a bare bones staff, this hit everyone hard.

At the same time, strategically speaking…every position cut and restructured made sense. In a moving forward kind of way. Hard to believe, but it’s true. Coming from my past juggernaut non-profit and watching how HORRIBLY screwed up I think their restructure went down, I’m absolutely amazed at how well my current place of employment carried out this difficult task.
