Oh, sometimes when you are sick it is good to sit back and bask in all things good from childhood. When I am not feeling well I turn to 4 things.

1. Mrs. Grass Chicken Noodle Soup
2. Vicks Vapo-Rub
3. Jell-O Juice
4. Baby Blankie.

My dearest Erin has been too kind dealing with me this week, as always…I might have been a wee bit demanding and out of sorts and she accepts this Jen with the greatest of ease…I keep thinking I am going to get up in the morning with her, early early morning that is…to use her car to run errands. (Aside: I am getting rid of Leroy since I do not have $500 plus to throw into a beater car when unemployed, plus my insurance was only a 6 month policy. I canceled it and I am getting ready to send him to his newest home, junk heaven. Getting $25 and a free tow. Sad, perhaps? But there is no place to keep him here in Buffalo until I could put money into him and the metro will get me back and forth to UB without a glitch. So? Another car search late Spring early Summer. Any takers for Leroy? It’s not too late!!! He is leaving me on Friday.) ANYHOW back to matter at hand.

I spent the night twice this week, at Erin’s in anticipation of getting up with her (the 2nd time is tonight, I plan on getting up this time!) And instead I have found myself in a foggy funk the last few days…waaaah. Yesterday was quite full of grey, no need to get into the details…lets just say I was thinking about the past…a lot.

Well, tonight while at Erin’s once again…I decided to make my Mrs. Grass Chicken Soup. The kind with the Golden Nugget inside. YUM! Erin had never heard of the secret golden nugget of goodness and kinda laughed at me when I was talking about it. She laughed out loud after touching the sacred nugget of love. I was telling her I do not like to pour the nugget right into the mixture…I like to wait. And I am sad to see it dissolve and turn into sticky goop. But it does make good soup for a sore throat. Yum.
