Mushroom Foraging. Back behind the house we had a giant puffball mushroom growing a bit ago, that HWMMS poofed and spores went everywhere.

Today, while walking the doggos I saw three tiny puffball mushrooms starting to grow. I decided to pick them.

AND then researched AGAIN that puffball mushrooms are edible.

I was either going to dehyrdate them to use for soup later OR batter them and fry up for a tasty treat. HWMMS chose the latter, which I will do tomorrow night for dinner. Looks an awful lot like tofu, right?

We’ve been finding LOTS of mushrooms around Weber Wonderland the last week or two. I’m still very hesitant to eat any we find, despite the fact I have read countless articles and have mushroom guide books.

Maybe this week…maybe.
