MY SENIOR YEAR HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL Next on the stage at the Springville Center for the Arts– THE MUSIC MAN! SQUEE!

Ah…hands down some of the best memories of my life happened during this musical, 27 years ago. I cannot wait to get back on stage and channel my inner Pick-a-Little-Talk-a-Little lady. (I’m not so secretly DYING for the chance to play Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn—and have HWMMS as my Mayor husband. But, we’ll see…he is currently dancing in the living room singing Shipoopi and I can’t even…it’s about the most adorable thing I’ve ever witnessed.)

Auditions will be held this Monday and Tuesday, March 4 and 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. Those auditioning should prepare a musical number from the stage version of the show to be sung a capella for the directors.

The auditions may also involve movement and reading at the discretion of the directors, but no preparation is needed. Roles for adults, teenagers and children will be cast.

Rehearsals will begin on Monday, March 18 and will, for the most part, be held Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Performances are scheduled for May 16 -19 and 23 – 26.
