Phil Collins and Buffalo Radio Stations

Obsessed much? There must be something in the air tonight, cause Phil Collins played 6 times during the 4 hours I had the radio on overnight. 6 times. Cant you see this is the land of confusion? The songs- True Colors, Follow You Follow Me, You’ll Be in My Heart, In the Air Tonight, Another Day in Paradise, and You Can’t Hurry Love. And I bet if I would just hang in long enough there would be many more.

I LOVE PHIL!!! I am in too deep. I am a huge fan. Number #2 right behind ya Auntie! I am sad that I have not had a chance to see him live. But, I don’t care anymore. Take a look at him now, he is doing Disney… I cry when I see the video of Live Aid (Do you remember?) where Phil played London and New York in the same day…a good man. It is just odd how frequently one can hear permutations of Phil on the radio in this great city. But, seriously!

A few years ago my roomies and I started a list, and it was a long list of songs considering we all pretty much listen to the radio in the car which would take, take us home. We ended up throwing it all away, way before my blog days. Once you hear it for yourself, you will be a believer. (sort of like the mystical number 27—another blog another day. No reply at all. )

I mean, against all odds, you never hear that many Billy Joel songs. Or Madonna. (Is it because she is an easy lover?) ACTUALLY as I changed the radio station just now, because the awful Dance with my Father song came on the radio that I avoid at all costs…PHIL was on 96.1 “There must be some misunderstanding…there must be some kind of mistake…” Odd. And while at Ruby Tuesday for late lunch, ” Don’t Lose That Number (Billy)” played. Go figure. That’s all. I cant stop loving him. And no joke…I couldn’t make this up if I tried…they just said on another station (time is 2:37 am “coming up, Genesis!”) There is always another song if you just hang in long enough.
