• Letters from an American  – March 6, 2025 – “DOGE and Trump are trying to shut down advanced medical research, especially cancer research…They’re shutting down medicine/disease research in the federal government and the government-run and funded ecosystem of funding for most research throughout the US. It’s not hyperbole. That’s happening.”

• War heroes and military firsts are among 26,000 images flagged for removal in Pentagon’s DEI purge – “The Pentagon ordered military services…to remove any mentions that “promote diversity, equity and inclusion.”If they couldn’t do that by Wednesday, they were told to “temporarily remove from public display” all content published during the Biden administration’s four years in office.”
• Iowa Legislature Votes to Eliminate Transgender Civil Rights Protections– “By adding “separate but equal” doctrine into Iowa code, our lawmakers have taken our state back to the 1890’s. Instead of making history for protecting all Iowans — the Iowa Legislature has made our state the first to revoke civil rights from an entire class of citizens.”
• Red state GOP lawmakers advance bill letting Christian doctors deny care to patients – “If passed and signed into law, West’s legislation would allow healthcare providers in the Sooner State to refuse to provide any services that would violate their “ethical, moral, or religious beliefs or principles.” House Bill 1224 also stipulates that providers “may not be held liable for damages allegedly arising from the exercise of conscience not to participate in a healthcare service.”
• South Carolina Bill: Miscarriage Care Can’t Be Called ‘Abortion’—Even When It Is – “Put another way: South Carolina doctors who accurately document their patients’ care would be breaking the law. What’s especially telling is that the bill still requires doctors to report this care under the state’s abortion reporting law. So legislators don’t want miscarriage treatment labeled as abortion—but they do want it tracked as such.”
• No more in-person town halls, NRCC chief tells House Republicans – “The chair of the House GOP’s campaign arm told Republican lawmakers Tuesday to stop holding in-person town halls amid a wave of angry backlash over the cuts undertaken by President Donald Trump’s administration.”
• Dysentery cases on the rise in the Portland area: 40 new cases reported in January alone – “Known best for causing stomach cramps, vomiting, bloody diarrhea and fever – and perhaps for killing off countless characters in the beloved video game “Oregon Trail” – dysentery has been consistently on the rise in the Portland region year-over-year since 2012″
• People Are Paying Millions to Dine With Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago – HOLY HELL THIS AIN’T A SMALL AMOUNT OF PEANUTS. “Business leaders are paying as much as $5 million to meet one-on-one with the president at his Florida compound, sources tell WIRED, while others are paying $1 million apiece to dine with him in a group setting.”
• CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA v. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY – Very interesting, look who is hanging out in the Feminority – Barrett.
• It’s not Dickens—it’s the MAGA agenda: Taking food from children; healthcare from the informed – “Perhaps the most egregious is the plan to slash $880B from Medicaid. The argument that cuts of that magnitude can be achieved by “reform” or by cutting “waste, fraud, and abuse,” frankly, insults our intelligence.”
