Today, a bunch of my sisters and I met a sweet ADPi soon-to-be Senior who took us upstairs to our suite. While there we chatted about the old days and realized she was BORN THE YEAR I GRADUATED. (Let that sink in a minute…)
About an hour later at the choir concert I saw her on stage singing and I started to cry. Yep, big gator tears (and the alma mater was still songs away!) All I could think of was how she has her whole life ahead of her…and how she has no idea the everlasting memories of her time at Allegheny—-20+ years from now will translate into lifelong friendships across the miles – weddings, babies, funerals, road trips. Through thick and through thin. I’ve been tremendously blessed and cannot imagine life without my time at Allegheny. Today was a very good day. (And I’m crying again…)
Love you all. And missed the many, many friends who will read this who weren’t on campus today. Where does the time go?
