Strange to think that my most favourite musician in the entire world…Practically lives in my backyard. How many people have seen their most favourite musician live more times than they can count? How many have met them in person, several times? Not many.
Of course I am the luckiest of all. And out of the countless shows I have been to seeing Ron Hawkins, I would have to say that last night I was truly spoiled. One of their best. The venue, Karpeles Manuscript museum…was a perfect fit for the Acoustic Revue. Stunning!
Ahhhh…
I’m actually kinda sorta glad that Lowest of The Low broke up…Ron has been writing and performing new songs and I am really, really loving them. Solo, acoustic revue Ron.

And a handful of new ones I have heard, but don’t know the names of! He did preview a new new one called “A Brief History of Time” which he wrote for his soon-to-be-first child. Sweet. (Ron will be a dad in one month!)
And a new record should be coming out this Fall.
Great show.
“Hungry hands and a travelers heart…Held entranced, from the end to the start…Till it feels like it’s always been this…infinite all encompassing kiss…just we two in the whisperingness.”
