My dear friend Kristen said to me “I wish I could make a deposit in your rest bank.”

Want! Like giving blood, but rest!

I’ve been inundated with work the last two weeks — going on three and while that brings a whole other host of challenges for my chronically ill body – I haven’t had time to be as present in the real world. (WHICH ISN’T A BAD THING but my, oh, my what privilege.)

  • MONDAY – I’m beat. Need spoons. Maybe tomorrow. Yesterday was my first day off in 13 days. And while I didn’t put in full days on both Saturdays – I extra-peopled to make up for hours. My body can’t do this anymore. I needed at least two more Sundays before Monday. But alas… #autoimmunediseasecanfuckoff
  • TUESDAY – 12-hour day. We’re hiring a new Youth Pipeline Coordinator, so the Leadership Team is each managing a day of afterschool programs. My day, Tuesday.

Spoon Saving Social Media Tips and How to Resist Online – “Even if I unplug, my body still knows my friends are in danger.
