Slipping…

I’m already slipping.

Instead of BLOGGING and putting MY words photos content on my page – I fed the algorithms instead. I’m posting things like below on Bluesky and Facebook and then forgetting to post here.

robin nest in corner of porch

In the upper corner of our porch is an old alarm box where each Spring a mama bird would build a nest. I’ve spent many hours watching the babies grow over the years. But last year, no nest. This morning, I looked up – and lo! A nest! I actually squealed with joy. It really is the little things.

I NEED TO DO BETTER. CONTENT HERE FIRST THEN SHARED.

The squeal with delight made HWMMS smile also – although he thought perhaps the original mama bird isn’t the one coming back and maybe it is one of the offspring who remembered the spot. No matter what – I’m so in love with that silly Mama Robin and get countless hours of pure contentment.

And then there’s this post…

My body has been craving and devouring Cara Cara Oranges. I just ate 4. I eat at least 2 a day. Am I going to turn orange?

CARA CARA ORANGES FROM ALDI ARE SO AMAZINGLY GOOD I CANNOT GET ENOUGH. When I made that post on Bluesky, I, um, had, the last four in the house. And yes, saying the last four is ridiculous – I think a bag comes with 8?

In addition to Cara Cara Oranges I have been craving Cottage Cheese and Choboni Cherry Cheesecake Greek Yogurt. That’s a whole lotta C foods!

I should probably ask how much cottage cheese is too much cottage cheese – because honestly, the amount I consume each week is unreal. I’m a large curd person (though Aldi only ever seems to have small…) and it has to be whole milk. I made the mistake of accepting a low-fat substitute once, and it was basically texture cheese. Not the same at all.

I know cottage cheese has had a bit of a revival in the last few years, but I’ve loved it since I was a kid. Lately, though? I’ve been loving the hell out of it.

And that yogurt? HOLY GODDESS. It tastes like velvety smooth cherry cheesecake. Honestly, I think I might prefer it to actual cheesecake. It’s from the “Creations” line, which is probably limited – so I might cry if/when they stop making it. There’s also an Apple Pie and Bananas Foster flavor, but they don’t even come close to the Cherry Cheesecake, IMHO.

CHOBANI also invests in our *area* – so, yay!
