Snow, my friend…this time you did me wrong.
Very wrong.
Friday morning I just walked around in a daze.
Saturday? I was sad.
Looking at all the destruction. So sad.
Still without power since Thursday evening.
And yet, incredibly blessed. I mean this storm could have been so much worse. All the pictures of trees that broke in three? Could have landed on houses and more cars and created so much more damage. Walking up Dorchester and around our neighborhood on Friday morning was a disaster that I had never experienced. Hurricane type damage. Power lines down everywhere. And yet, hardly anyone was injured. Our streets were passable the next day. Neighbors looked out for neighbors. So we throw away some food, big deal. It could be so much worse. I have to keep reminding myself of this when I sit chilled to the bone under covers in the dark for the 4th night in a row at 7pm.
More later. I am uploading pictures now. So happy to be at work where I have media access and power and warmth.
Hope all is well with everyone and everyone is safe and warm.
