It’s all so exhausting. I attended a funeral today – and I believe I counted 4 people masked *(including myself, the only one with a N95.)
I honestly don’t think most people are aware of what’s out there right now…assumptions that boosted means you are ok – safe. If you had COVID already, safe. If you are asymptomatic but positive, you are safe. If you are in a crowded indoor place you are safe.
If I went around town and asked if ANYONE has heard of LongCovid – I would guess, well, the people in my circles. But otherwise? No clue of any risk.
I just don’t know how we got here. (I mean I clearly do, but DOES NOT COMPUTE.)
So personally:
😷 I’m still masking in crowded public locations
🙂but not in smaller groups
🧪I’m testing myself & my kids (usually) before I see my parents
🏥I’m watching hospital & case #s

The pandemic has been a time warp. Our friend’s dad passed away Sunday. We would do dinners at the Moose together in the “before times” and I was thinking it’s been a while since seeing each other and then realized A WHILE HAS BEEN OVER TWO YEARS. Sigh.
So many things about the last (so many years) has been so discouraging. What once was considered normal civil behavior is now moot for many. It’s a sad, sad decline.
