Because Saturday sucked, or didn’t go quite as I hoped. I had an early bedtime and woke up at a normal hour this morning. Baby was it cool outside! We had the windows open all night and HWMMS was ready to shut them and turn on the heat—-but instead, we ventured out into the sun where it was, at least it felt like, 20 degrees warmer than it was indoors. I brought my coffee with me and the puppies and got to work right away.
For me this meant tackling the front lawn walkway where the dandelions were flourishing. All those pretty yellow flowers needed to be mine! On this post, I will call what I did weeding. I weeded the edge of the front lawn garden and pulled up hundreds of dandelions. From there I went to the strawberry patch and weeded and thinned out a crowded bunch of plants and replanted them along with two dozen new bareroot plants. The entire edge of the driveway along the side yard is now strawberries!
I started getting into the herb garden and the rain decided to spit here and there. By this point I was covered head to toe in dirt and weeds and, oopsy—-um, been in the sun for hours with only my bathing suit top and shorts on. Hello sunburn.
HWMMS managed to mow the front and side lawn, well most of it, the rest is still a swampy wet disaster in the back…and planted grass seed. All before the rain hit! Hurrab!
After a long shower we decided to bring the puppies with us for a car ride while running a real estate errand and picking up some groceries. As soon as we got in the car, the sky opened up with rain. PERFECT TIMING. And although you can’t tell from this photo, there was a TRIPLE rainbow in the distance. Yeah, triple baby!
I have to mention one other quick thing, which I think is ridiculous. Jordan, Giant Puppy will stand outside all day long in a snowstorm but HATES going out in the rain. Now if she is in the car during a car ride and it’s raining? Her head is out the window the entire time. What gives goofy dog? Crazy beast.
