HWMMS and I had a SUPPORT LIBRARIES date this past weekend* at the Hulbert Library (Concord Public Library). I had two books to pick up and he ended up getting an Buffalo & Erie County Library Card.
*Hmmm. Resistance Dates, eh? I see an unintentional theme here AND I’M ALL FOR IT.
- January – ALL THE VACCINATIONS DATE
- February? – Catching Up With The Godson (and new girlfriend) Date?
- March – LIBRARY DATE
April is Love Your Library Month, but really… isn’t *every* month Love Your Library Month?
It’s a great time to support your local public libraries, which champion access to free, open information – and open doors – at a time when public spaces have never been more at risk.

WOOT! I admit, I am 100% addicted to the Libby app and 85% of the books I borrow are audiobooks. But there is just SOMETHING about entering the doors of your small town library that makes everything in the world safe and good and nostalgic. And I need to frequent mine – and support financially – when I can.
Our Library even has SEEDS!

- Send a message to your Senators and Representatives
- Send this action alert to five people in your network.
When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public
