Me: How did it take us this long to start binge watching a series during quarantine?

HWMMS: Because, I think we were saving the binging for DefCon 3.

We just finished watching the Amazon Prime series THE BOYS, which we started – yesterday. This is our first binge watch of the quarantine. I’m surprised actually, there are a ton of series we are behind on watching and honestly, the TV is rarely on. We watch movies from time to time but so far this year, hardly any TV.

I have a feeling that’s going to change now that we popped the binge cherry.

HWMMS put on The Boys and told me what it was about and I sort of just listened halfheartedly and was still ready to play on the computer while it was on in the background. I said I could really care less but he should watch. He told me to give it at LEAST one episode. Which I did. AND I WAS HOOKED.

• Elisabeth Shue is FIERCE. Oh my god, I couldn’t take my eyes off her when she was on screen. Icy, perfection.
• Karl Urban is, well, adorable. Even as a vigilante.

I’m already salivating waiting for the release of Season Two. Good job Amazon Prime. Good job.
