Where Will You Be Celebrating New Year’s Eve?
Out with the old and in with 2018! No matter if you plan on spending New Year’s Eve with a quiet night at home, a party with friends and family or out on the town at one of the following Western New York celebrations. We wish YOU and YOURS a very happy and safe New Year.
Enjoy a night of skiing until 10 p.m. at Kissing Bridge located at 10296 State Road, Glenwood for their New Years Celebration followed by Fireworks and a Torchlight parade. A DJ will be in the house until 1 a.m. along with food and drink specials in the Harvest Room while the Smokehouse and Cafeteria is a family friendly zone for all to enjoy!
Ring in the New Year at Holiday Valley located at 6557 Holiday Valley Road, Ellicottville with ski lifts open until 11 p.m. followed by the Snowcat Parade at 11:15, Torchlight parade at 11:30 and fireworks at 11:45. The whole family can party together on the lodge main floor and there’s an adult only party in the T-Bar on the top floor.
Family Friendly Events
First Night Buffalo takes place downtown at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center located at 153 Franklin Street from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. This family-friendly, drug and alcohol free celebration includes attractions such as Shemika Charles the Limbo Queen, Hybrid Fitness Ninja Warrior Academy, Jeff Musial The Animal Guy, the Bubble Black Light Dance Party, the Toddler Zone, storybook characters and The Red Trouser Show. At 9:30 p.m. Buffalo native and former X-Factor contestant, Cailtin Koch performs, followed by a confetti countdown and balloon drop. Tickets will be available at the door the day of event for $15 and includes all rides, attractions and activities. Children ages 2-years-old and under are free.
For those interested in a quick trip North check out Old Falls Street Family Fun New Year’s Eve Party at The Niagara Falls Conference & Event Center, Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Activities include a dance floor with music by D+B Karaoke and DJ, Primate Display with Carmen Presti, Giant Inflatable Slide, Bounce House & Obstacle Course, Airbrush Tattoos for Children, Kirt the Entertainer with Stilting, Juggling & Magic Activities, The Balloon Brothers, Social Media Photo Booth, Arts & Crafts and Interactive Games. Complimentary party hats & noisemakers will be handed out for the balloon drop and countdown at 10 p.m. with a sparking juice toast. Tickets are $6 presale and $8 at the door the day of the event.
Southtowns Events
How about a New Years Eve Celebration with the Hayden Fogel Band at JP Fitzgerald’s located at 4236 Clark Street, Hamburg. The party starts at 10 p.m.
Or come out for the 2nd Annual 42 North Keg Drop, located at 42 North Brewing Company, 25 Pine Street, East Aurora. Ring in the New Year with the dropping of a keg in the brewhouse (or biergarten, weather depending) when the clock strikes midnight along with live music with the band Falling Rock. This event is FREE and open to the public.
The Town of Holland will be ringing in the 200th year with a Ball Drop at midnight in the Village Commons Parking Lot and light refreshments to follow at the Holland Fire Department.
Overnight cabin packages are available for New Years Eve 2018 at The Woods at Bear Creek located at 3510 Bear Creek Road, Franklinville. Dinner and live music by Krossfire. Dinner prices are $55, cabin prices start at $230.
Downtown Buffalo Events
Dress up for a fancy night on the town at the Statler City 7th Annual Ice Ball, starting at 7 p.m. at Statler City located at 107 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo. Guests will enjoy four hours of premium open bar, plenty of food, a champagne toast, live music by the Boys of Summer, Big City Horns, and Jeff Toy from Toy Brothers! And four rooms with sit-down dining, and more.
Start the New Year with some laughs with comedian Brad Williams at Helium Comedy Club located at 30 Mississippi Street, Buffalo. The late show includes party favors and a champagne toast at midnight! General admission tickets start at $49, dinner tickets available for $99.
If relaxation and zen are more your style, you can start off the New Year at Yoga Parkside, located at 2 Wallace Avenue, Buffalo. A yoga class taught in the Kundalini Tradition will include sun salutations for ritual and warming up. Class begins at 11:30 p.m. and there will be Yogi tea & community time and free flow dancing after Midnight. The cost is $15.
Buffalo RiverWorks located at 359 Ganson Street, Buffalo presents Brew Year’s Eve 2018. Celebrate with friends with Hors d’oeuvre, dinner and dessert stations. Full bar included from 8 p.m to 12 a.m. along with a champagne toast and hats & noisemakers at Midnight. Live Music by XOXO and a Burning Buffalo Outdoor Lazer Light Show. Tickets start at $75.
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Resurgence Brewing Company located at 1250 Niagara Street, Buffalo. Admission tickets include open bar from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m (including an exclusive NYE beer release), light buffet with passed hors d’oeuvres, a s’mores station, champagne toast at midnight, complementary cigars in the biergarten, photo station, cornhole, games and much more.Tickets are $100.
The annual New Year’s Eve celebration at the Buffalo Irish Center located at 245 Abbot Road, Buffalo features music by Ben Clifford, complimentary champagne toast, hats and noise makers . Doors open at 7 p.m. with no admission charge.
Indie Music lovers come together to ring in the New Year at the Transmission New Year’s Eve Dance Party at Mohawk Place, located at 47 East Mohawk Street, Buffalo. (Right around the corner from the ball drop and only $5 admission!)
For those not interested in standing outside in the cold for a ball drop there’s Buffalo’s Largest Balloon Drop and New Years Party at Venu, located at 75 West Chippewa Street, Buffalo. Tickets start at $20.
