My favorite month of the year.
I woke up struggling mightily this morning.
How can I feel good celebrating the beautiful everyday little things that brings my heart joy when so many are suffering?
Thousands of somebody’s loved ones are dying every day from an uncontrollable (yet controllable) raging virus.
How is our federal government able to stand back and fuel this terror by not doing anything? Worse than not doing anything…actively encouraging citizens to do the absolute wrong thing?
How do I tune it out and focus on the 15 inches of snow forecasted for the next day in our area? How do I focus on the waggedy tails and soft kitty purrs? The many moments of simple pleasures?
I don’t know how to walk this delicate tightrope gracefully.
But I know I need a little Christmas, right this very minute…and hope you appreciate my sharing with you too.
One of my besties Mary told me this morning when I said I was still in bed crying to get coffee with her…she lives in Annapolis and even if she was next door, well, covid.
I grabbed a cup of coffee ☕ and enjoyed the view.
Winter is Coming.
And I fear I will be seeing some of the darkest days of my lifetime in the next month (or two…)
But WINTER IS COMING. And its my most wonderful time of the year. I need to remember we all can use a little light…
And for me, right now, this means much more coffee. Time to get to work.
Happy December friends. 2020 is almost over.
