Day of Caring

Last week I ran a simple errand – off to the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County to pick up The Foundry Day of Caring sign.

Simple errand, ha. How about a WHIRLWIND OF HUGS from friends and past co-workers? I worked at the UWBEC – um, 20 years ago? And seeing Bernie and April and Suzette and Trina and getting all the hugs and smiles – alas, I’m a blessed soul.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE PEOPLE AND RELATIONSHIPS YOU MAKE ALONG THE WAY.

ASIDE – I also want to point out that the person in charge of DoC – Suzette and the President and CEO – Trina were both outside greeting the community members at early o’clock in the morning. THAT IS an example of LEADERSHIP in action that makes organizations great.
