Springville Center for the Arts presents Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor opening Thursday, February 28 and running through March 17.

Laughter on the 23rd Floor focuses on Neil Simon’s own early career experience as a junior writer of Sid Caesar’s “Your Show of Shows” and “Caesar’s Hour ” and provides an intimate look of the cackles and chaos behind the scenes of writing and producing a hit comedy show during the 1950’s golden age of television.

An ensemble cast of characters modeled after Simon’s co-workers, hysterically compete for the affection and attention of the star of the show, Max Prince. during his ongoing battles with NBC studios.

  • Matt Walter of Lancaster, NY as Kenny Franks (inspired by Larry Gelbart)
  • Erin Bellavia of Williamsville, NY as Carol Wyman (inspired by Lucille
    Kallen & Selma Diamond)
  • Mark J. Mendola of West Seneca, NY as Ira Stone (inspired by Mel Brooks)
  • Ally Catalano of Eden, NY as Helen

Performance dates are February 28th through March 1-2, 15-16 at 7:30 pm and Sundays, March 3 & 17 at 2:00 pm.
