Me: Ugh. Wait, what time is it? Time to get up?
HWMMS: No, it’s only 6am.
Me: Oh, the old time to get up. Falls back to sleep.
I’m feeling better this week, but I woke up late (around noon) pretty stuffy AND played a little too much with the doggo so my breathing is bad again. MEH.
Weeks. Long duration chronic illness. Weeks.
Yep Chris Cuomo. I AGREE.
I didn’t accomplish much of anything today. Frozen Pizza for lunch. Leftover Mashed Potatoes for dinner. Exciting, right? Apparently I’m much more ME when breathing properly.
I’m pretty worried about this weekend. People have cabin fever, it’s the holiday weekend. It’s not “that bad” if I visit “just one friend or family member” and I need to go to the store again…etc…etc…etc…Just stay home. Alone. Without friends over sitting “6 feet away.”
My friend Aimee said this earlier today:
“Packed. Sams Club. Ollie’s. Walmart. I absolutely couldn’t believe it. I dropped food off at moms and came right home. It was super stressful for me just doing that. I’m scared.”
HOW!? I can’t imagine all these people are doing a “once a week or twice a week” pick up of essential items. I DO understand some people 1. don’t have money to stock up on food & need to wait until they do get paid (I’ve soooooooooooo been there.) and 2. don’t have the space to stock up on food (been there too…) WITH THAT SAID I DOUBT all the people shopping fit into these categories.
Let’s change the narrative. It’s NOT SOCIAL DISTANCING. It appears this term is too wishy-washy, people are not taking STAY AT HOME UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY seriously.
AAAAAAAAARUGH.
I ended the day with a phone call with #MeggieLove my “BOSS ON PAUSE” and it made me miss the heck out of everyone. Pause…
After the call I sent this wee video (27 seconds) out to some of my coworkers, board members, residents, volunteers…cause I’m goofy like that. Sigh. I remember those days long ago where I actually thought about my hair. Hahaha. (Weep.)
Time for bed. Till we meet tomorrow…
