Green Springville hosted Earth Day (Day) this Saturday at the Moose Lodge. It was a brisk April day. We just missed the rain…

The horse carriage ride was absolutely magical. Bill and Prince the Belgian horses did not disappoint. And the views – around the Springville Rail Trail and Springville Trout Pond…Just lovely.

I have to admit when I saw the photos of myself from the day I was disgusted. “I really look like that?” My first instinct – instead of the very next one which was SO MUCH JOY. I had so much fun. The pictures ooze life and love. And yet my default brain went to “I hate myself.”

FULL DISCLOSURE – THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I HAD TO POST THE PHOTOS. Because it is about JOY not the horrible angles of my fat face and neck and crooked teeth. I’m almost 50 years old and still desperately learning.

May we ALL remember we are beautiful and life is about the simple moments like this with loved ones.

Share the damn pictures. Be authentic. Life is short.

UPDATE – oh synchronicities.

I pressed publish, and then forwarded this link to my Moonwife and Evil Twin and then see Evil Twin just sent me this link. I listened to the entire song – and teared up. Of course. Have you met me?

Ok, now I’m gonna go call my mom.
