Wowza – my books read count for February – 11 books! Which brings me to 17 books read out of my one book for 2022 challenge.
Books Read (Listened To) – February 2022
1. Five Tuesdays in Winter by Lily King – I enjoyed some of the stories and the others, eh.
2, Stories I Only Tell My Friends by Rob Lowe – What is it about celeb bios that intrigue me so?
3. The Arrow Tree: Healing from Long COVID by Phyllis Weliver – YES. I stumbled upon this book and ordered it immediately. And devoured it in one sitting. Exactly what I needed to read at the right moment. I *WILL* blog about this book.
4. The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow – Hmmm. It took a while to get into – I wanted more.
5. Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid – Worth the read – but a little too much at the end for my liking. In that eyeroll, really? Sort of way.
6. Here, Right Matters: An American Story by Alexander S. Vindman – READ. And thank GOD for the Alexander Vindman’s in the world.
7. Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back by Todd Burpo – What to say – Eh, it was a short read. I feel for this poor kid, I can’t imagine what his life has become since this book has been written.
8. Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler – Nyah. Perhaps I was just in the wrong mood?
9. Followers by Megan Angelo – Nice timing. (Yikes!) Was looking for a light read – once I got into the story I looked forward to picking it up again and again. The ending though, meh.
10. The Reckoning: Our Nation’s Trauma and Finding a Way to Heal by Mary L. Trump – Yes, read. But for me, too soon. Already lived through it, felt the PTSD coming on. The trauma is real. Really real.
11. The Heartbeat of Trees: Embracing Our Ancient Bond with Forests and Nature by Peter Wohlleben – Aaaaaaah. Trees. Healing power of trees.
