Civility 101

I can’t even anymore. This week has been too much.

In light of today’s most recent news of yet another shooting (just another day, right?)

…this.

Milo wants vigilantes to start killing journalists, and he’s not being ‘ironic’

At the time of this post there is no indication that the current shooting situation was “inspired” by the call to violence by Milo Yiannopoulos BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT. If not this one, the next one? Another shooting somewhere down the line being planned as I type? It doesn’t matter.

THIS IS NOT OK.

And I believe it is going to get much, much worse before better. All the hate inspiring more hate and hate hate hate rhetoric is never the answer, yet here we are.

Exhibit Number One: Ladies and Gentleman. The President.

We need to be better. We HAVE TO BE BETTER THAN THIS AS A NATION. I just can’t stand all the hate and dragging people down further and further into this despicable world. No one wins in the end in this terrible game. No one.
